Ðó là các chữ: warranty, discuss, come up with a solution, let me see, undertaking, make a decision, talk it over và promises. Kathy: Today we’re going to continue with our review of past shows.

We’re going to listen to recordings of some of our past guests.

Max, you can try to guess the name of the guest.

Max: Sounds good.

Congress makes laws; that’s the legislative branch.=quốc hội làm luật; đó là ngành lập pháp. The executive branch enforces the laws=ngành hành pháp thi hành luật pháp. Larry: Interview

Max and Kathy listen to an interview with a guest from a past show.

Can you guess who it is?

Kathy: OK, Max, listen to this conversation.

Which guest is it?

Let’s listen.

Kathy: Did your kids enjoy their visit to the museum?

Denise: Oh, yes. They saw lots of interesting things.

Kathy: What did they like best?

Denise: They liked the dinosaurs best.

Kathy: Well, Max, who is it?

Max: Let’s see.

She took her children... to a museum.

Kathy: Yes, she has two children.

Max: Hmm... Can I hear some more?

Kathy: Yes.

Let’s listen to our guest answer the question “Why did the dinosaurs die?”

Denise: Well, some dinosaurs died from the cold.

Other dinosaurs died because they didn’t have enough to eat.

Kathy: Why didn’t they have enough to eat?

Denise: You see, most dinosaurs ate plants.

Plants need heat and light.

When the earth became cold and dark, many plants died.

And when the plants died, the dinosaurs didn’t have enough to eat, and they died.

Max: Hmm.... She knows a lot about dinosaurs.

Is she a scientist?

Kathy: No, she isn’t. She works... in a law firm.

Max: A law firm....? Can I hear some more?

Something about her personal life? [đời tư]

Kathy: OK. Let’s listen to her talking about cooking.

Max: Good.

Kathy: Who does most of the cooking at your house?

Denise: I do. My husband does the shopping and I do most of the cooking.

As you know, I’m blind.

So it’s not easy for me to do the shopping.

But I’m a very good cook.

Max: Oh, it’s... Denise, Denise Collins.

She likes to cook.

She works in a law firm and she’s blind.

Kathy: Yes, it’s Denise Collins.

After our break, we’ll call her at her home.

Max: Great.
