Admin problem.

Hello I am quite new with warcraft bots and i got problem.

So i set everything up, bot works and i can host works very well, but in lobby admin commands stop working. Well they work for some admins gave to 3 persons, and it even doesn't work for me (root admin).

So is it something i am doing wrong, or i didn't finish doing it to the end?

P.s When writing !checkme it show i got no admin, but when one of admins(that has working commands) write @check (my nick) it shows i got admin.

Check in ghost.cfg if you enable "spoofcheck" on join for admins and rootadmins.

There are something you should be aware of :
- commands by whisper only work on bnet environment, not in garena.
- In GenBot, we disabled Rootadmins on Garena for security. It's a security issue as in LAN people can spoof their names easily using name spoofing software trying to name them as your names and steal the control. SO, Rootadmins as for sure only work on bnet. BUT, as you're rootadmin you can add yourself (your Garena nickname) to normal admin, then join game via LAN or in room whenever you like (hooking or using GCB to broadcast game to Garena).
- Normal admins' commands work on Garena.

Thanks i will try checking .cfg again. Should i disable spoofcheck? Since it's enabled.

I don't use GenBot on Garena so i don't think there is problem there.

Disable spoofcheck on rootadmin,

Normal admins are okay if spoofcheck enabled for them.
To add admin, in your bot's lobby or in game, !addadmin yourfriend

in channel, by whispering /w BotName !addadmin yourfriend
same to !sla.

Disableing spoofcheck didn't help.

Seems like commands works if their are whispered from lobby or in-game to bot, but doesn't work if just typed in lobby or in-game.

For some people it works normally, but some has to use whisper.

no clue to me. Did you add them to admins by /w YourBot Name? Here I use MySQL database and their access are 1919, 1909, 1903, try one of them 1919 seems fine.


Using database in GhostOne GUI may not be fully correct.

If !checkme shows they are admins It should work. You can try that on LAN, go join with their names or whatever nickname on your LAN (not Garena) to check that.

Weirdly enough when i join with his name from lan @checkme shows admin, but for him it doesn't show admin when typed @checkme.

Checked at different times so shouldn't by any problem about with multiname or something.

the name must be exactly as in the database

e.g. M.LClose,
in database m.lclose, it's fine
if the dot is missing, then admin control won't work

Name is exactly the same since name is simple one "siuske".

You can play around with ghost.cfg settings but beware that you can use ghost.cf in Defaults folder to restore default settings of ghost.cfg. Copy to store your bnet id & passwords somewhere before overwriting with ghost.cf and renaming it. ghost.cf is a back-up file to restore ghost.cfg in case you messed ghost.cfg up or deleted by mistake.

BTW Do you have a Garena ID, add me g.m.bot ?, we can chat and I can join your host to test if you like

Gen i added you to friends on garena, and will write later if you don't mind.

I have the exact same problem is this resolved? Its pretty odd.

It is fixed. Wait a few days for the release of v1.52. Many good things are coming.
